West Ham United U18s put on a battling performance, full of tenacity and heart, to claim a 1-0 win away at Burnley U18s and a place in the FA Youth Cup fifth round.
George Earthy's first-time finish on 89 minutes proved to be the difference in a competitive outing at The County Ground, although the fine form of Burnley goalkeeper Charlie Casper denied the Irons an earlier opener.
Gideon Kodua, Callum Marshall and even Earthy himself saw the Clarets shot-stopper turn away their efforts, while Mason Terry had to be on hand to deny the hosts from one of their numerous, dangerous corners into the Hammers area.
Kevin Keen's young Irons were able to fight to a deserved win and secure a spot in the round of 16 away to Stoke City.
