West Ham United U21s were held to a 3-3 draw away to Crystal Palace U21s in their return to Premier League 2 action on Monday.
Kamarai Swyer gave the Irons an eleventh-minute lead in south London when he headed in Freddie Potts’ corner, and the Hammers grabbed a second from another set-piece on 22 minutes as Luizao netted his first West Ham goal.
Palace striker Ademola Ola-Adebomi immediately replied for the hosts, netting from close range, before Eagles defender Kofi Balmer was shown a straight red card for a coming together with Divin Mubama in a frantic opening 30 minutes.
Armstrong Okoflex added a third for the Hammers early in the second half with a well-taken finish, after combining with Swyer, to put the Irons in control in south London.
However, more good work from Ola-Adebomi saw Palace score their second on 60 minutes, with Victor Akinwale tapping home from close range, before the Eagles completed their comeback through Jack Wells-Morrison’s penalty.
