West Ham United u23s celebrate v Leeds United

Highlights: Everton 3-4 U23s

West Ham United U23s twice fought from behind to claim a superb 4-3 win away to Everton in a thoroughly entertaining Premier League 2 contest.

Mark Robson's Irons started the fixture the brighter of the two teams but found themselves behind after just nine minutes courtesy of Lewis Dobbins' curling effort, which found the net via the underside of the cross-bar.

Sonny Perkins and Thierry Nevers both tested the Everton goalkeeper before the Toffees doubled their advantage through Thomas Cannon, who chipped Krisztián Hegyi on 23 minutes.

Perkins halved the deficit with a low effort on 42 minutes and deservedly drew the Irons level just moments following the second half restart, capitalising on a rebounded ball in the Everton defence to slam home a first-time strike.

Everton restored their lead through on 52 minutes when Luke Butterfield turned home from close range, after a free-kick came back off the woodwork, but the Irons would not be denied.

Some simply sensational play from Manny Longelo led to our third, with the full-back pulling the ball back from the byline before avoiding a challenge and sliding the ball through the goalkeeper's legs to level the game.

Armstrong Okoflex completed the comeback, thumping in a rocket of a strike after some good work down the left flank, ensuring the three points headed back to east London.
