West Ham United U21s continued their push up the Premier League 2 Division 1 table with a resolute and professional 1-0 win at home to Fulham.

Divin Mubama continued his recent hot-streak in front of goal by netting the only finish of the match, striking on 34 minutes after forcing Cottagers' defender Charlie Robinson into an error.

The attacker's first effort was denied by Fulham goalkeeper Alex Borto but Mubama made no mistake with the second, scoring his tenth goal of the season for the U21s.

Fulham had missed a huge chance to take the lead not long before, when George Okkas saw an effort strike the base of the left-hand post.

Mubama would head wide from a Regan Clayton cross in the second-half but goalscoring opportunities were, in truth, limited in a tightly-contested encounter at Rush Green Stadium.

Fulham would, however, have a late chance to snatch a point, as Jay Williams unleashed an acrobatic effort in second-half added time, only for Krisztián Hegyi to superbly hold onto the effort.

Victory over Fulham is the development team's fifth league win in their last six games, and moves West Ham up to tenth in the division.
