West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen has been shortlisted for the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month award for January.
The Hammers’ No20 has enjoyed a rich vein of form at the start of the year, scoring three times in four top-flight appearances to the delight of the Claret and Blue Army.
After netting a brace in the 2-0 win over Norwich City at London Stadium – the first an excellent header, and the latter a poacher’s finish – Bowen bagged again against Leeds United four days later, this time from heading in from a corner kick.

Ever-influential, Bowen also played his part in the 3-2 New Year’s Day win over Crystal Palace, and came close to scoring in last weekend’s eventual 1-0 defeat at Manchester United at Old Trafford, rippling the side-netting.
Bowen’s three goals mean that he has now recorded a total of seven goals or assists in his last six Premier League matches, bringing his tally of goal contributions to 19 in 32 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Also nominated for January's award are Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne; Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea; Leeds United winger Jack Harrison; Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder João Moutinho; and Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse.
