With a host of Hammers out on loan in action over the weekend, the best outing came for goalkeeper Brian Kinnear.
On his debut at Scottish League One side Falkirk, the young stopper made a crucial penalty save to help his side to a 3-1 victory on Saturday.
With the fixture poised at 1-1 after goals from Calum Gallagher and Gary Oliver, Kinnear showed exceptional reactions while diving to his right at the end of the first half, using his legs to keep a well-struck penalty out of the net.
That moment - alongside two more one-on-one saves and a double stop - gave Kinnear’s side the impetus to push on and record a win thanks to a Kai Kennedy brace.
Speaking to Falkirk TV after the match, the 22-year-old said: "Luckily I got the chance to make my debut. It was a massive game - and I think I did well so I am pleased with that and the result."
Falkirk now sit second in the third tier of Scottish football, with four wins and a draw in their last five league fixtures.
Elsewhere, Conor Coventry helped Rotherham United pick up four points across their last two EFL Championship fixtures and bolster their bid for survival as a result.

With the bottom four failing to record a point over the weekend, the Yorkshire club, who also boast former Hammer Jordan Hugill in their ranks, sit 20th in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Firstly, for Vejle BK, Nathan Trott kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against HB Köge, a side managed by former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.
As a result, Trott and company retain their place at the top of the Danish First Division, with 13 wins from 19 league games.
Meanwhile, U21s stopper Jacob Knightbridge helped Harrow Borough to a valiant point away to promotion-chasing Chesham Utd.
The 19-year-old saved headers from Jordan Edwards and Lewis Rolfe to help his side to a 2-2 draw in Buckinghamshire.
