West Ham United can confirm that Emmanuel Longelo has joined EFL Championship side Birmingham City on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old will spend the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign at St Andrew’s, under the guidance of head coach John Eustace, with the former Stoke City and Watford midfielder taking charge of the Blues in July.
Having joined the Academy of Football as an U10s player, Longelo made his senior debut for West Ham United in the Carabao Cup in September 2020, helping the Irons to a 5-1 win over Hull City.
He would earn his full debut in a 1-0 UEFA Europa League Group H defeat by GNK Dinamo Zagreb at London Stadium in December 2021.
The flying full-back played 18 times in Premier League 2 last season for the development side, scoring once and providing five assists.
Everyone at West Ham United wishes Manny all the best for his loan spell with Birmingham City.
