Divin Mubama

Mubama named in England U19s squad for Euro Qualifiers

Divin Mubama has been named in the England Men's U19 squad for a trio of 2022-23 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying matches.

The Academy striker, who has been a regular in Mark Robson's development team this season, has earned his first call-up to the U19s age group after seven outings - and three goals - at U18s level for the international team.

The Young Lions lifted the UEFA European Under-19 Championship trophy in the summer under the guidance of Ian Foster but, with Foster progressing up to the U20s, new U19s boss Simon Rusk has named his first squad since taking charge.

Mubama and his international teammates are set to play in three matches in Denmark later this month, the first of which puts England U19s against Montenegro on Wednesday 21 September, with kick-off at 5pm.

A 1pm kick-off against Georgia on Saturday 24 September follows, before Mubama's involvement in the international window comes to a close versus Denmark on Tuesday 27 September, again at 1pm.

Conor Coventry

Conor Coventry is also set for international action, having been once again named in the Republic of Ireland U21s squad. He joins loaned striker Mipo Odubeko in the team, with the young Irish side set for matches against Israel on Friday 23 and Tuesday 27 September.

Elsewhere in the Academy, defender Josh Briggs has been selected to represent Northern Ireland U17s in a pair of friendlies against Finland.

The first match is due to be played on Wednesday 21 September at 4pm, before the second is played on Friday 23 September at 1pm.
