West Ham United U18s welcomed Southampton to London Stadium for the FA Youth Cup semi-final on Thursday evening.
Playing at the Club's home in east London, the Irons stormed into a two goal advantage against the Saints.
Divin Mubama put the Hammers ahead on 11 minutes with a clever finish at the near post, before Callum Marshall grabbed West Ham's second from outside the area just two minutes later.
The young Irons held the lead into the second half, although goalkeeper Mason Terry was called on to make a handful of decent stops to deny the visitors.
West Ham's early, second-half pressure paid off on 54 minutes when Mubama added a third for the hosts. Again, Gideon Kodua played in his fellow forward, with the No11 coolly converting.
Dominic Ballard grabbed a goal back for the visitors on 65 minutes, netting a first-time finish from around 12 yards out. But the Irons immediately restored their three-goal advantage, as captain Kodua shaped in a delightful strike on 68 minutes.
Mubama then completed his hat-trick with an emphatic finish on 72 minutes.
Less than a minute after coming on, substitute Favour Fawunmi added a sixth from close range, sending the Irons into the FA Youth Cup final!
