George Earthy celebrates his goal in the FA youth Cup final

West Ham United U18s head to Arsenal for their first FA Youth Cup final in nearly 25 years!

The young Irons last won the FA Youth Cup in 1999 and travelled to north London to face Jack Wilshere's young Gunners in the final of the prestigious competition.

It was the home side who took the early lead at the Emirates Stadium as Omari Benjamin followed in a well-saved effort to curl in from the edge of the box on seven minutes.

Kevin Keen's side stormed back just ten minutes later though. First, George Earthy lashed in a superb effort from 20 yards to level the tie, before Gideon Kodua crossed in for Callum Marshall to steer home from close range to give the Irons the advantage.

Just minutes before half-time captain Kodua scored a goal-of-the-season contender to extend West Ham's advantage, stealing possession from the Arsenal defence and lobbing goalkeeper Noah Cooper from 40 yards!

The Hammers continued to fight valiantly in the second half and scored a deserved fourth 12 minutes from time, as Kaelan Casey rose highest to head home from Ollie Scarles' corner.

Josh Briggs scored with his first touch after coming on to add West Ham's fifth, and secure the side's fourth ever FA Youth Cup.
