West Ham United hosted FCSB in our opening UEFA Europa Conference League Group B match at London Stadium on Thursday evening.
Both clubs and their fans paid respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II after the sad news of her passing broke ahead of kick-off.
Played in a heavy downpour, the Irons went close through Gianluca Scamacca and Manuel Lanzini, but the Romanian visitors took the lead through Andrei Cordea's close-ranged effort on 34 minutes.
With FCSB leading at the interval, Manager David Moyes rang the half-time changes with Michail Antonio, Lucas Paquetá and Jarrod Bowen entering the fray.
It was Bowen who levelled the match from the penalty spot on 69 minutes, confidently dispatching his effort into the top corner after Maxwel Cornet was fouled in the area by goalkeeper Stefan Târnovanu.
Emerson Palmieri put the Irons into the lead just a few minutes later, dispatching a low first-time effort under the FCSB shot-stopper after intense pressure from the home side.
Antonio wrapped up the three points with our third on 90 minutes, powering home a strike that Târnovanu could not keep out, despite getting a hand to the shot.
As the final whistle rang around London Stadium, another image in memoriam of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was displayed on the screens.
Our Club photographer was on hand to capture all the on-the-pitch action, which you can check out in the gallery above.
