West Ham United can confirm that Pierre Ekwah has completed a permanent transfer to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
Ekwah departs east London after 18 months with the Hammers. The 21-year-old joined from Chelsea in June 2021 and made 45 appearances across all competitions for the development side, scoring eight goals.
The midfielder joins a Sunderland team that sit ninth in the EFL Championship, just one point outside the play-off places, and links up with former Hammers U21s captain Aji Alese at The Black Cats.
Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Pierre for his efforts in Claret and Blue and wish him every success in his future career.
