On this day in history, West Ham United defeated Ipswich Town 2-0 in the second leg of an EFL Championship Play-Off semi-final second leg... twice in consecutive seasons!
Lightning struck twice for the Hammers against the Tractor Boys on this day in 2004 and 2005, with Alan Pardew's Irons winning out 2-1 on aggregate overall in the 2003/04 semi-finals - only to be defeated by Crystal Palace in the final - before exactly one year later winning by the same scoreline in Suffolk.
That occasion sealed a 4-2 victory on aggregate, from whence they went on to beat Preston North End 1-0 in the 2005 Final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
