A stunning European journey sees Tomáš Souček head from one home to another to celebrate a UEFA Europa Conference League triumph.
The Eden Arena - his home while a Slavia Prague player for 15 years - was the venue that saw West Ham United beat Fiorentina to secure our first major trophy since 1980.
A medal hung around Souček's neck that connected both of his clubs, with the Czech nationa-team skipper now heading back to east London to join in the celebrations.
Souček and his teammates now return from their triumphant night in Prague to a victory celebration in the streets of East London on Thursday evening.
The playing squad and coaching staff will parade the eye-catching silverware on a specially-commissioned open top bus, travelling from the Hammers’ old home at Upton Park to a reception at Stratford Town Hall.
After celebrating in Prague, the party now hits East London.
“It’s amazing!” Souček said. "Yesterday was a special day for all West Ham fans, for all of us, especially for me, because I came back to my home stadium where I spent 15 years. So, it’s amazing to connect these two teams I love [with this victory].
“It’s special to lift the trophy for the West Ham fans who were waiting a long time, many years, and now they can celebrate, and they really deserve it. It’s a miracle and I am enjoying it!”
A long season has concluded in the most memorable of ways thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s 90th-minute winner and Souček is ready to lead the Irons' celebrations in Stratford.
“The mood is amazing,” he stated. “It has been good for a few months because we all trust what we can do. This season has been hard for all of us but [to win 14 games and draw one game in this competition] shows that we deserved to win this trophy.”
Now, for the No28 and his thousands upon thousands of adoring supporters, it’s time to celebrate!
