West Ham United U21s will kick-off their 2022/23 Premier League 2 campaign with an away trip to newly promoted Fulham.
The Irons, under the guidance of lead coach Mark Robson, will be looking to go one step better in the new season having finished second in Premier League 2 Division 1 last campaign.
The young Hammers face a potentially difficult test on the opening day, travelling to face a Fulham side full of confidence following their promotion, with the Cottagers beating West Ham 1-0 the last time the two teams met.
August will also see West Ham travel away to Leicester City, while facing Arsenal and Everton at home. September will open with a trip to reigning champions Manchester City on Saturday 3 September, before the visit of Tottenham Hotspur to Rush Green. Manchester United away will close the month.
October will see the Hammers play no fewer than five league matches. A London derby double-header at home to Crystal Palace and Chelsea will open the month, before back-to-back away trips to Blackburn Rovers and Brighton & Hove Albion. A home match with Liverpool comes at the end of October.
West Ham’s sole Premier League 2 game in November will be at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar puts the breaks on the first team and U21s’ fixture schedule.
Robson’s players will return to action in early January, against Everton, before also facing Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea in the first month of 2023.
February will see Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion welcomed to Rush Green Stadium, with a trip to Meadow Park to face Arsenal sandwiched in-between, while a quiet league fixture schedule in March has the Hammers at home to Manchester City and away to Wolves.
April will see the Premier League 2 Division 1 campaign come to its conclusion, with the Irons facing Blackburn Rovers at home prior to away trips to Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
The U21s will end the 2022/23 league season at Rush Green Stadium against Leicester City.
Supporters should note that the time and date of all Premier League 2 fixtures are subject to change, while the final date of the U21s’ trip to Manchester United in September is yet to be confirmed.
A busy campaign for the U21s will also see them play in the EFL Papa John’s Trophy and the Premier League International Cup.
