It's time to vote for your Hammer of the Month for February.
West Ham United Women had three fixtures in the month of February, two matches in the Barclays FA Women's Super League and one in the Vitality Women's FA Cup.
The month began with a tough clash against Aston Villa at the Banks's Stadium, where goals from Abbey-Leigh Stringer and Kateřina Svitková secured a 2-1 victory over the Villains.
A defeat at Leicester City followed, but after the international break, the Irons were back to winning ways in a battling performance against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Dagný Brynjarsdóttir scored her second FA Cup goal of the season in a 1-0 that went to extra time.
With a number of solid performances throughout February, four Hammers have been nominated for the ZO Skin Health Hammer of the Month.
Lucy Parker has played her part in the two victories this month and has gone from strength to strength in 2022. Parker has made 14 appearances for the Club in all competitions so far this season, and has impressed with not only her defensive qualities, but her ability to calmly bring the ball out of defence.
Kateřina Svitková is another player that has enjoyed a good start to 2022, winning the ZO Skin Health Hammer of the Month award for January. This month, Svitkova scored the winning goal against Aston Villa and has been consistent with her performances.
Dagný Brynjarsdóttir has found her knack at scoring important goals for the team, and this month bagged the winner against Reading in the fifth round of the Vitality Women's FA Cup tie against Reading. She leads the scoring charts for the team this season in all competitions, with five goals.
