West Ham United will head to EFL League One side Cambridge United for a mid-season friendly match on Tuesday 6 December.
David Moyes will take his team to the Abbey Stadium for the 7pm kick-off – a Testimonial for long-serving U’s captain and Hammers fan Greg Taylor.
The trip to Cambridge promises to give the Hammers a strong test two weeks before the 2022/23 Premier League campaign resumes following the break for the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.
West Ham last faced Cambridge in competitive action in May 1993, when a 2-0 First Division victory at the Boleyn Ground famously secured promotion to the Premier League.
32-year-old Cambridge defender Taylor has been at the Abbey Stadium since a summer 2013 transfer from Luton Town and has gone on to make in excess of 350 appearances for the club.
Full ticketing details for the match will be confirmed in due course and communicated on whufc.com
