West Ham United have been crowned the 2022/23 U18 Premier League South champions!

Following the Irons' 2-0 win against Arsenal on Saturday morning, Kevin Keen’s young Hammers have mathematically secured their status as winners of the division.

The Irons sit on 51 points from 20 games played and have two matches left in the 2022/23 league campaign. Second-placed Fulham are 15 points behind the Irons with four matches remaining while third-placed Crystal Palace have three games left to play, and are also 15 points behind.

As a result, West Ham United have secured the regional title and can proudly call themselves ‘U18 Premier League South Champions’.

An incredible campaign so far has seen the young Academy side win 17 of their 20 league matches, losing just three games, while scoring 69 goals and conceding only 29.

The U18s now enter the final stretch of the 2022/23 league season and will make the trip to Leicester City on Saturday 22 April before the league campaign concludes with the visit of Fulham to east London on Saturday 29 April.

As winners of the U18 Premier League South, the young Hammers will face the 2022/23 U18 Premier League North Champions in a Play-off fixture; the date, time and venue of which will be confirmed at a later date.

Also awaiting the U18s is the FA Youth Cup final against today's league opponents, Arsenal, which will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday 25 April. Tickets are available for the final and can be purchased here!
