Junior Robinson is a tenacious right-sided defender - and occasional midfielder - who enjoys getting forward and providing good quality in wide areas.
Hailing from Bethnal Green, Robinson joined the Academy of Football as a six-year-old after being spotted playing for Sunday League team Senrab FC in Forest Gate - a stone's throw away from London Stadium.
Watching football alongside his father - a keen supporter of Barcelona - Robinson's footballing idol naturally became Brazilian right-back Dani Alves. As a result, the West Ham defender likes to produce driving runs from full-back - as well as the odd skill move or two!
An intelligent player and a clear leader within the group, Robinson put pen to paper on a two-year Scholarship at the Academy of Football in the summer of 2020.
In the summer of 2022, following a season that saw Robinson make 28 outings for the U18s and earn two appearances in the Premier League Cup for the U23s, the full-back signed professional terms with the Club.
Robinson has also previously represented England at U15s level, but cites his proudest achievement as his Young Lions debut at U17 level against Belgium in late 2020.
Robinson's first season as a professional was unfortunately hindered by injuries. His most consistent run of matches came in January 2023; a five-match Premier League 2 run which coincided with the side picking up ten points. However, the attacking full-back was limited to eleven appearances in all competitions.
