- Out on Loan
Scotland U21 international goalkeeper Brian Kinnear joined West Ham United in the summer of 2021 after completing a successful trial with the Academy of Football.
After coming through the ranks at Rangers, Kinnear was named as a member of Steven Gerrard’s UEFA Europa League squad the season prior.
The shot-stopper played for Rangers’ youth and B sides and also enjoyed senior experience during loan spells with East of Scotland Premier Division club Camelon Juniors and Scottish League Two side Annan Athletic in the two seasons prior.
Facing stern competition from Krisztian Hegyi in his first season in Claret and Blue, Kinnear played seven times in all competitions for the U23s in his maiden season, with three appearances in Premier League 2 and four in the Premier League Cup.
Kinnear's league debut came in early November, away to Leicester City. The Scotsman would also play in the home clash with the Foxes in January, as well as the home win over Blackburn Rovers.
In 2022/23, Kinnear's sole Premier League 2 Division 1 appearance came in a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in October 2022, before he started the 2-0 EFL Trophy group-stage defeat at MK Dons three days later.
In January 2023, he was loaned to Scottish League One club Falkirk.
