Despite being an U16s player, exciting midfielder George Earthy was an U18s regular for West Ham United in 2020/21, making 16 appearances in all competitions.
Capable of dropping back, pushing forwards or playing out wide, Earthy netted four goals in the final five games of the U18 Premier League South campaign as an advanced playmaker, and is an exciting talent who continues to develop as an all-round attacking threat.
Earthy enjoyed an immense 2021/22 season with the Hammers U18s, starting 29 fixtures and scoring an impressive 11 goals from midfield. The youngster was rewarded for his fine form with a professional contract ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
The creative midfielder switched between a No10 and wide role for the development side throughout the 2022/23 season and ended the campaign with three goals in 25 outings in all competitions, netting in wins over Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
With Earthy still 18-years-old, he continued to also represent the U18s, scoring four times in eleven U18 Premier League South appearances as Kevin Keen's young side claimed the league title. Earthy would also play all six matches in the team's FA Youth Cup run, scoring three goals; a vital late winner away to Burnley in the fourth round, a creative finish in the away win at Stoke City in the fifth, and a classy strike in the 5-1 final win against Arsenal.
