Highly-decorated Italy international Emerson joined West Ham United in August 2022.
The left-sided full-back or wing-back started out with Santos in Brazil before moving to Italy as a teenager, initially with Palermo and then AS Roma, becoming an Italian citizen and debuting for his new country in September 2018.
After winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and FA Cup with Chelsea and UEFA European Championship with Italy, Emerson became the first player to complete the set of senior UEFA winner's medals when West Ham won the UEFA Europa Conference League in June 2023.
