The Foundation’s signature Golf Day and Dinner event with West Ham United legends is back for its third year.
The event will take place on 16 May 2023 at Stock Brook Manor, Billericay, Essex, with the likes of James Collins, Kenny Brown and Jimmy Walker aiming to be in attendance.
Supported by Paragon as headline sponsor, the event is a great opportunity for West Ham supporters, friends of the Foundation and business representatives to join Hammers legends to help the Foundation make an even bigger impact across the local communities of east London and Essex.
Joseph Lyons, CEO of WHU Foundation, said: “We’re excited for this year’s event with our legends at Stock Brook Manor – it’s set to be a great day with an excellent lineup.
“Paragon continues to be a great champion of ours and they’re returning as our headline sponsor this year which we’re delighted about. With their support last year, we were able to raise £28,000 towards our work - helping us to deepen some of our essential outreach including mentoring provision and enabling us to offer additional assistance when people have needed it most.
“Following that event, we had a lot of interest from people who shared they don’t play golf but wanted to get involved. So, this year we’re happy to be able to offer both golf and dinner packages as well as some further sponsorship options. We’re hoping to see lots of familiar faces and some new ones too.”
Across the afternoon, golfers will take to the course alongside our West Ham legends to compete across 18 holes, with food and drinks provided on welcome and available at the halfway house. Plus, there will be opportunities to compete in challenges including ‘Beat the Pro’.
In the evening, guests will take their seats for the Foundation's Dinner party, including a three-course meal, legend question-and-answer, dinner games, exclusive auction and the highlight of the Annual Golf Day, the prize presentation.
The cost to enter a team is £600, with a shotgun start at 1pm and Dinner from 6pm. Golfers can purchase either a threeball plus a legend or a fourball. For evening-only attendees, the Dinner will begin at 6pm with individual and group tickets available starting at £65.
All proceeds go to the West Ham United Foundation, helping the charity to fulfil its vision of inspiring better futures through the delivery of over 30 programmes across east London and Essex. These include furthering their efforts to assist families living in poverty, tackle anti-social behaviour and provide employability support.
