In Pictures: Kirsty Smith's first day at West Ham United

West Ham United Women announced Kirsty Smith as their latest signing on Friday, with the Scottish international signing a two-year contract in East London.

Smith previously spent four seasons with Manchester United where she played 24 times in the Barclays Women’s Super League and was also heavily involved in their Barclays Championship title winning campaign in 2018 – which saw Manchester United promoted in their first professional season.

Before that, Smith was with Hibernian where she won the Scottish domestic cup double in both 2016 and 2017.

A full-back that is comfortable on both sides, Smith becomes the Hammers’ fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Jess Ziu, Halle Houssein and Lisa Evans.

Smith was involved straight away at the team's Chadwell Heath training base, with our cameras on hand to capture her first training session.
