West Ham United Women appoint new Directors

West Ham United is delighted to confirm that Baroness Brady, Tara Warren and Nicola Keye have been named as directors of the Women’s team.
 
In line with the Club’s key objective to continue driving the progress and success of Paul Konchesky’s team in the Barclays Women’s Super League, along with the growth and development of women’s football in general, West Ham United Vice-Chairman Brady will lead a new senior level of focus and support across all areas of the Women’s football and commercial operation, from the first team through to the Academy.
 
The appointment of Baroness Brady, Executive Director Warren – both members of the West Ham United FC Board – and Director of Ticketing Keye to the Women’s team Board will ensure more than 60 years of combined senior experience from women in professional football, providing additional focus, commitment and senior support to the Women’s team’s ongoing development and growth.
 
Baroness Brady said: “I am delighted to be able to confirm this important and exciting new level of senior support for West Ham United Women, as we continue to enhance all areas of the Football Club and build upon our role as an equity leader in football.
 
“The women’s game is the fastest growing sport in the United Kingdom and at West Ham United we have made tremendous strides forward since being granted FA Women’s Super League status five years ago.
 
“Tara and Nicola have a wealth of valuable experience in football and business and together we will work tirelessly to ensure that West Ham United Women continue to go from strength to strength, on and off the field.”
 
Konchesky’s team are currently sitting seventh in the top-tier of women’s football, reached the semi-finals of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup, and narrowly missed out on a place in the quarter-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup last weekend after being knocked out on penalties by Aston Villa.
 
Their fine season to date led to an incredible eleven Hammers receiving international call-ups in the recent international break – further evidence of the excellent progress that is being made at the Club, in the wake of the unforgettable success of the England Lionesses in the 2022 European Championship Finals last summer. 
 
At a hugely exciting time for the women’s game, the interest, coverage and exposure of teams and players within the Barclays WSL continues to grow at a fantastic rate.
