West Ham United Women’s squad numbers for the 2022/23 season have been confirmed ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Women’ Super League opener against Everton.
With the Hammers busy in the transfer market across the summer, the new recruits have secured their numbers for the upcoming campaign.
Defenders, Kirsty Smith and Risa Shimizu will wear No2 and No3 respectively, whilst Captain Dagný Brynjarsdóttir has switched from No32 to No10 after the departure of Kateřina Svitková.
Irish duo Izzy Atkinson and Jess Ziu will wear No11 and No16 respectively, with Norwegian U19 international, Thea Kyvåg electing for No20 this season.
French international, Viviane Asseyi will wear No26, whilst Japan international, Honoka Hayashi will wear No19.
Sophie Hillyerd has taken No28, Alex Hennessy will wear No35 and Keira Flannery has chosen No41 – inspired by men’s Captain, Declan Rice.
Lisa Evans and Halle Houssein returned to West Ham United on permanent deals this summer after loan spells from Arsenal, with the pair securing the numbers they had last season – No7 for Evans and No33 for Houssein.
