It was on this day in 2018 that Rosie Kmita became the first female player to sign a professional contract in West Ham United history.
The winger and former captain spent two years with the Irons, moving with the side from the Women’s Premier League Southern Division as they progressed to become a Women’s Super League outfit.
Kmita captained the Irons to the FA WPL Plate glory in 2017/18 and also lifted the Goodmove.co.uk trophy with the team.
