West Ham United Women's Dagný Brynjarsdóttir was on the scoresheet for Iceland in their 5-0 victory over Belarus in 2023 FIFA World Cup qualifying.
The midfielder earned cap number 100 for Stelpurnar okkar in Serbia at the Voždovac Stadium, with Brynjarsdóttir's accomplishment celebrated prior to kick-off in Thursday's fixture.
The result means that Iceland move to the summit of Group C, a point ahead of the Netherlands, the side who they will face in their final match of qualification on September 6 2022.
It was Brynjarsdóttir who opened the scoring for Iceland with only 16 minutes gone, when she got herself onto the end of a long throw in from Gunnhildur Yrsa Jónsdóttir - the effort from close range landing beyond goalkeeper, Nataliya Voskobovich.
A gut of goals would follow, with Jónsdóttir grabbing a goal herself only nine minutes later - scrambling the ball home after a header was tipped onto the crossbar by Voskobovich.
Berglind Björg Þorvaldsdóttir then added a third on the counter attack, as Iceland made the home side pay for giving the ball away cheaply - giving them a commanding lead heading into the break.
In the second half, a double from 20-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir put the game beyond doubt - the first of which saw her place a magnificent free-kick into the bottom corner.
The win puts Brynjarsdóttir and her team-mates in a strong position at the top of Group C.
And there would be no further goals – with Brynjarsdóttir playing the full 90 minutes on such a special evening for her personally.
She celebrated the milestone alongside team-mate, Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir, who was also making her 100th appearance for Iceland.
They will face Czech Republic on Tuesday as the look to keep hold of their place at the top of Group C – which they won 4-0 in the reverse fixture back in October 2021.
