Łukasz Fabiański has been nominated for the Castrol Save of the Month Award for January by the Premier League.
West Ham United’s No1 has been shortlisted for his miraculous late stop to deny Rodrigo a late winning goal in the 2-2 draw at Leeds United on 4 January.
The Hammers were battling hard for a point at Elland Road when the Spain striker stooped to head Liam Cooper’s pass powerfully goalwards.
The ball looked destined to find the net until Fabiański flung himself to his left and thrust out a strong left hand to claw the ball around the post to safety.
Moments later, the final whistle was blown and the former Poland international had earned his team a share of the spoils in spectacular circumstances.
The 37-year-old is one of six goalkeepers on the shortlist, with the winner being voted for by supporters by clicking here.
