West Ham United U18s beat Fulham for the second time in eight days to kick-off their Premier League Cup campaign in style.
Callum Marshall continued his amazing start to the 2022/23 campaign with a hat-trick as Kevin Keen's Hammers won 4-2 at Little Heath Sports Ground - a week after the Northern Irish striker had scored twice in a 5-4 U18 Premier League South win at Motspur Park!
Gideon Kodua, who also scored two goals in west London, got West Ham's other goal to send the Irons top of Group A on goal-difference after one round of matches. Sunderland defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the other Group A opener.
West Ham's scholars have now scored 16 goals in four competitive matches this season, with 17-year-old Marshall incredibly netting nine of them. Attacking midfielder Kodua, also 17, has four, while central midfielder Lewis Orford has two and 16-year-old forward Jemiah Umolu one goal to his name.
