We are delighted to confirm the signing of promising midfielder Keira Flannery.
The 16-year-old joins the Club after leaving Arsenal – becoming Paul Konchesky’s sixth summer signing.
A very technically-skilled player, Flannery will be a part of the first-team squad this season, whilst also featuring for the Hammers’ WSL academy.
Flannery is a massive West Ham United supporter and has previously walked out as a mascot with Kevin Nolan at Upton Park.
She will also wear the number 41 shirt for the Irons - taking on the same number as her idol, Declan Rice.
“It’s a dream come true for me to join West Ham – the Club that I’ve supported all of my life," she told whufc.com.
“I want to be in and around the first-team picture, and when I came to have a look around the training ground in the summer, I just knew that this is where I wanted to play my football.
“As a player, I’d say I’m quite good technically – I can be quite feisty at times as well, but you’ve got to be as a West Ham supporter.
“I’m really looking forward to wearing the shirt and can’t wait to get started.”
Konchesky spoke of the talent that Flannery has and is looking forward to seeing her in action.
“We’re really pleased to bring Keira to the football Club. She’s a really talented young player that we’re looking forward to seeing develop here.
“Keira will be in-and-around the first-team this season – she’s a quick learner and we’re excited about being able to push her on this season."
Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Keira to the Club, and we wish her well during her time in Claret & Blue.
