Abbey-Leigh Stringer has called for West Ham United Women to be switched on from the very first minute against Manchester City on Saturday morning.
The Hammers welcome Gareth Taylor's side to the Chigwell Construction Stadium on Saturday, with an early kick-off scheduled for 11.30am.
And up against one of the most in-form outfits in domestic football, Stringer is anticipating a tough, but exciting, contest in east London.
"We know that we're going to have to be at our very best to get a result against Manchester City," Stringer told whufc.com.
"It's going to be a really exciting match-up, that's for sure - but we know that we can get something out of it if we perform to our very best.
"These are the sort of matches that you look forward to in the season because they put you up against the very best."
Saturday's visitors had a troubled start to their 2021/22 Barclays FA Women's Super League campaign, picking up just four points from their opening five matches.
Fast forward to the present, however, and the Citizens have been flying, winning all five of their matches in March - including a 3-1 victory over Chelsea in the Continental Tyres League Cup Final.
Despite the opposition's upturn in form, Stringer is confident that we possess every element required to pull off another positive result.
"It's going to be a similar game to the one that we played against them in October [a 2-0 away win to West Ham]," she suggested.
"They will have a lot of the ball, and we will need to be disciplined in our approach to make sure that we don't give them too many opportunities in on goal.
"One thing I remember about the game up at the Academy Stadium was that we were clinical with the chances that came our way. We need to make sure we do that again, because they're a team that's really tough to breakdown.
"If we give 100 per cent in everything we do out on the pitch on Saturday, and stick to the gameplay we've been working on, then I feel like we've got a pretty good chance."
The Irons are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat last time out against Brighton & Hove Albion, but having only lost three times in all competitions at home this season, they do boast a strong record in front of their own supporters.
Stringer concluded: "I wasn't here last season, but I know that the home form has massively improved since then - we've performed really well at home and I think that's partly down to the supporters.
"They really do push us on in games, and hopefully they will be able to do the same on Saturday."
